About the Mirage

About

The word Mirage came to the English language via the French and its Latin root mirari, meaning "to look at, to wonder at". Since its inception in 1997, the Mirage has been a co-op between Hermantown and Proctor High Schools.

Drawing players from both cities, the Mirage has a consistent record of producing highly competitive teams, collegiate players and outstanding citizens. Through the dedication of their players, coaches and parents, the Mirage will continue its tradition of excellence both on and off the ice.

The foundation of this dedication can be found in the Junior Mirage youth hockey program. The Junior Mirage draw players from a large area that includes the cities of Proctor and Hermantown, as well as Twig—which is located about 15 miles west of the city of Duluth. Traditionally, the Junior Mirage will produce multiple teams at the 8U, 10U, & 12U levels as well as a strong U15 team.
