The Jr Mirage 12UB team had a nice weekend of hockey! After defeating the Brainerd Warriors 3-1 and in the line after the game the Mirage girls took the time at actually shake the opposing coaches hands and showed great sportsmanship in their victory. The whole Mirage organization should be very proud of the girls. The Brainerd coach was so impressed he sent an email to the team. Please read his message below. Just wanted to send a short message regarding the U12 B team & coaches. We played them yesterday & it was a great game even though we lost 3-1, but thought you should know your girls are a class act. In the line after a game you usually just bump fists with the players, but over half of your players actually shook my hand. Now that's pretty cool. That type of sportsmanship comes from parents, but also great coaches. We enjoyed a short visit after the game with both coaches who thanked us for coming to play. Now that is what youth hockey should be all about. Keep up the good work!
